Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I just sign online?
State law requires a handwritten signature along with other identifying information used to verify your voter registration status. State law does not consider e-signatures valid for a petition.
Can I write my nickname under “Printed Name”?
No, please print your name as it appears on your voter registration.
Do I have to put my full address?
You can leave off the city but be sure to include zipcode along with street address.
If I print out the petition sheet, can I ask friends and family to sign, too?
Yes, but they must be registered to vote in Keller ISD and you must mail in or turn in your petition sheet as soon as possible to protect identifying information.
Can I sign the petition for a family member?
No, while you may fill out other info like birthdate and address for a family member, your family member MUST sign the petition themselves.
